Senior Finance Specialist
We are looking for a Senior Financial Specialist with excellent administrative and analytical financial skills to join our team. The Senior Financial Specialist is expected to examine and compile financial reports, manage/ assist with account receivables; manage/assist with account payable and assist with monthly financial reporting in a broad sense.
To ensure success, the Senior Financial Specialist should be very detail-oriented and be problem-solvers. They must also have strong mathematical and communication skills.
Objectives:
- Communicate discrepancies to Finance manager & management team
- Identify slow-paying customers
- Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts.
- Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
- Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with financial requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Managing cash flow and periodic cash flow reporting.
- Manage Revenue, Invoice booking and Receivable Management.
- Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing.
- Manage Billl booking, Vendor Payments and reconciliations.
- Manage Regular Bank Reconciliations.
- Take responsibility for the planning and execution of financial duties and projects of a company.
- Assist with preparing financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the business to ensure financial stability.
- Assist with drafting budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports required by regulatory authorities.
- Assist in managing the risks involved in the financial activities of the business.
- Assist with estimating short and long-term financial objectives by setting performance targets.
- Compile financial reports and conduct month-end processes.
- Manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports for the financial department.
Requirements & Competencies
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a senior financial position.
- A good understanding of financial management obligations.
- Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial planning software such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
- The ability to work independently.
