Junior Purchasing Officer
Location: Curacao
We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Purchasing Officer to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving healthcare throughout the region.
Objectives:
As a Junior Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing activities within the logistics department, ensuring that all procurement processes are followed, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality products. You will assist in managing inventory levels, processing orders, and ensuring timely deliveries to meet the needs of our business and clients.
- Communicate discrepancies to Finance manager & management team
- Identify slow-paying customers
- Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts.
- Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
- Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with financial requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing medical laboratory devices and supplies based on company requirements.
- Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods from suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure product quality, pricing accuracy, and on-time shipments.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and managing inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Support the logistics team in tracking orders and resolving any delivery or supply issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Assist with cost analysis and supplier evaluations to support purchasing decisions.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role preferred, but recent graduates with strong academic credentials are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with purchasing processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and purchasing software. Proficiency in Quickbooks is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
